Pain Relief

Everyone feels pain, and everyone wants it to go away. Sometimes pain is a way for your body to let you know that something is wrong and that something needs to be done to fix it. When your finger hurts because you touch a hot flame, for example, pain quickly lets you know to get your finger out of there. Pain also may be a way for your body to tell you about changes in your condition that need attention or a different treatment. But many forms of pain are so frequent or severe that all people want is to make them go away—and fast.

You may not want to admit when you’re in pain because you don’t want to seem “weak.” But pain is not a sign of weakness. You deserve to have your pain made better. Pain can make you feel tired, cranky, worried, and sad.
