Taking Care of You

Make the Most of Your Life

You may wonder if there’s a secret to facing life with a chronic illness or disability. There really isn’t. Nor is there a magic potion that will make your condition go away forever. Learning to live with a chronic illness or disability may not be easy, and it may take hard work on your part. But if you care enough about yourself, you can use the strength that’s inside you, accept your life, and make the most of it.

You can begin by taking the following steps.

  1. Face Your Fears
  2. Be Good To Yourself
  3. Know Your Limits
  4. Focus on What You Can Do
  5. Express Your Feelings
  6. Take Your Medication
